Privacy and account data
1. Our privacy approach
TSW collects only information that is reasonably useful to operate, secure and improve the service, provide member access, communicate with users and meet legal obligations.
TSW does not sell personal data. Free access to TSW tools is not financed by selling member personal data to third parties.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use TSW, we may process:
- your email address;
- your first name and last name;
- account and member identifiers;
- your preferred language and profile settings;
- account status, access level and entitlement information;
- password-related information stored securely by WordPress as a one-way password hash. TSW does not store your plain-text password;
- account-security information such as login attempts, security events, timestamps, IP address, browser/device information and technical logs reasonably necessary to protect the service;
- records showing the version of the Terms and Privacy Policy acknowledged when you created or updated your account;
- support messages, ticket content and technical information you choose to send to TSW;
- information required to provide downloads, software access, licences, product updates and member services.
We do not ask members to provide a telephone number, date of birth, government identity document or payment-card number as part of the standard TSW member profile.
3. Account creation by email
If you create a TSW account with an email address and password, we use the information you provide to create the account, verify the email address, protect the account and provide access to TSW member services.
You may later add your first name and last name to your member profile.
4. Sign in with Google
TSW may offer Google Sign-In as an optional way to create, link or access a TSW account.
When you use Google Sign-In, TSW may receive:
- your Google account identifier (
sub); - your email address;
- Google’s email-verification status;
- your given name and family name when Google provides those fields.
TSW uses this information only to authenticate you, create or link your TSW account, prevent duplicate accounts, pre-fill your member profile and protect account security.
TSW does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive, Google Contacts or Google Calendar for the TSW account-login feature.
Google identity tokens are used to authenticate the request and are not intended to be stored as permanent profile data.
A member who creates an account through Google must still create a TSW password before the account becomes fully active. The TSW password is used for account security, alternative login and sensitive TSW actions where password confirmation is required.
5. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- create, verify and maintain TSW accounts;
- authenticate users and protect account security;
- provide member access, downloads, tools, software, licences and updates;
- remember language and account preferences;
- operate Premium or other access levels;
- respond to support requests;
- detect abuse, fraud, security incidents and technical problems;
- maintain operational logs and audit records;
- send service messages that are necessary for the account, such as verification, password, security, support, licence or access messages;
- improve the reliability, usability and security of TSW;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce the TSW Terms.
Where required by applicable law, we rely on an appropriate legal basis such as performance of the service relationship, legitimate operational or security interests, compliance with legal obligations, or consent for optional processing.
Communications and providers
6. Service emails and optional communications
TSW may send service communications that are reasonably necessary to operate your account. Examples include account verification, password setup or reset, security notices, support messages, licence information and material service changes.
Marketing or editorial communications, such as newsletters, new-tool announcements, partner offers or promotional messages, are treated separately where required. Users should be able to manage such optional communications through the mechanism provided by TSW or the message itself.
7. Cookies, analytics and advertising technologies
TSW may use cookies or similar technical storage that is necessary for login, security, language preferences, session management and core website operation.
Optional analytics, advertising pixels or retargeting technologies are separate from the personal information required to become a TSW member. If TSW enables such technologies, they may process information such as page visits, device/browser data, campaign events or advertising identifiers according to the choices and disclosures presented for those technologies.
Becoming a TSW member does not require TSW to sell your data, and TSW does not sell member personal data.
8. Partner and affiliate links
TSW may use partner or affiliate links. A partner may inform TSW that a qualifying referral, registration or purchase occurred so that commissions, partner-supported access or other programme benefits can be tracked.
The third-party provider controls the information you submit directly to that provider. Its own privacy policy and terms apply to its service.
Partner compensation helps support the TSW ecosystem. It does not mean that TSW sells its member database.
9. Payments
If TSW offers paid access, subscriptions or other paid services, payment may be processed by Paddle or another clearly identified payment provider or Merchant of Record.
TSW does not need to store your full payment-card details when the payment provider handles them. TSW may receive transaction, customer, subscription, entitlement or billing-status information that is reasonably necessary to provide access, support the transaction, prevent fraud and maintain records.
The payment provider processes payment information under its own legal terms and privacy policy.
10. Service providers and third parties
TSW may use service providers to host the website, send email, provide authentication, operate infrastructure, secure the service, process payments or provide other functions necessary to operate TSW.
These providers may process limited information on TSW’s behalf or under their own legal responsibilities, depending on the service.
TSW does not state that personal information is never shared with any third party. Instead, we limit disclosure to purposes reasonably connected with operating, securing, supporting or legally administering TSW, or where you choose to interact with a third-party service.
Retention, security and rights
11. Data retention
TSW keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including maintaining an active account, providing downloads or licences, resolving support matters, protecting security, keeping required records and meeting legal obligations.
Inactive, incomplete or closed accounts may be deleted or anonymised after a reasonable retention period, subject to security, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal requirements.
Security and audit records may be retained for a reasonable period even after other profile information is deleted where this is necessary to protect TSW or comply with law.
12. Data security
TSW uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect member information.
No online service, software, network, hosting environment or authentication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or continuously available. Users are also responsible for protecting their credentials, devices and TSW password.
13. Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request information about your personal data, obtain access, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or exercise other applicable privacy rights.
To make a privacy request, contact support@tradingstrategy.world.
TSW may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
14. International processing
TSW operates internationally and may use service providers located in different countries. Personal information may therefore be processed outside the country in which you are located.
Where applicable law requires specific safeguards for international transfers, TSW will use reasonable mechanisms appropriate to the processing and provider involved.
15. Third-party services
TSW may link to or interoperate with NinjaTrader, brokers, proprietary trading firms, data providers, payment providers and other third-party services.
TSW does not control those third parties. Their own privacy policies and terms govern information they collect directly from you.
Updates and contact
16. Changes to this Privacy Policy
TSW may update this Privacy Policy as the service, technology, legal requirements or data practices evolve.
Material changes may be communicated through the website, member area or email where appropriate. The version and effective date displayed with this policy identify the current policy.
